CORE in National University of Singapore is organizing the second Marine Operations Specialty Symposium. The need for continuing the symposium is
demonstrated by the variety of shallow and deepwater operations and facility
installation activities worldwide from offshore oil & gas and renewable
industries, universities and research institutes.
In general this symposium will cover all aspects offshore operation
and installation related issues. These issues will be of interest to many
segments of offshore oil & gas and renewables (wind, current, wave,
OTEC).
Typical topics include:
We are seeking a broad cross section of papers from universities, research
organizations, regulatory bodies, operators, installation contractors,
service companies, and consultants that highlight the latest technologies and
developments. High quality abstracts that demonstrate to the reader that your
paper and presentation will be interesting, informative and topical are most
welcomed.

Paper selection will initially be based on a
one-page abstract about 500 words in length.
Abstracts submitted should include the title of paper, authors’ names
and organizations as well as the email address of the corresponding
author. The abstract template is
available on the MOSS website.

Spätestens seit der Inbetriebnahme von Alpha Ventus sind
Offshore-Windparks in der deutschen Bucht vom Projekt zur Realität geworden.
Der Aufbau und Betrieb dieser Anlagen stellt indes weiterhin hohe
Anforderungen an die Entwicklungsabteilungen von Herstellern von
Offshore-Windenergieanlagen, Ingenieurbüros, Werften, Reedereien sowie an die
mit der Schiffs- und Meerestechnik verbundenen Forschungseinrichtungen. Die
Spannweite der Aufgaben erstreckt sich dabei nicht nur auf die Entwicklung
von standfesten Plattformen für die Windkraftanlagen. Die Montage und der
Betrieb der Anlagen stellen ebenfalls hohe Anforderungen an die verwendete
Technik. Im Betrieb selber ist die Wartung und die Versorgung der Anlagen
auch bei widrigen Wetterbedingungen Voraussetzung für die effiziente Nutzung
der Windenergie als Beitrag zur regenerativen Energieversorgung.
Im Rahmen der zweitägigen Fachtagung in Bremerhaven berichten führende
Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen über zukunftsweisende Technologien
zum Aufbau und Betrieb von Offshore Energieanlagen. Themen sind unter anderem
neue Technologien für Gründung und Installation bis hin zur Entwicklung und
Bau von Montage- und Versorgungsschiffen sowie deren Betrieb .
